One of my favorite things in life is uniting people together in marriage! Being a wedding officiant here in the Charlotte area has taken me to places all over the East coast.
From a small beach themed wedding in Charleston, SC to a celebrity wedding at Biltmore… and almost 1,500 other weddings in between.
Recently I was called by a Wilmington couple to perform a ceremony in Gold Hill, NC. I had never been to Gold Hill, but it's known as the small town “In the Middle of Everywhere.” I was so impressed by its quaintness and charm.
The town came to be in 1824 when gold was first discovered there. Several of the old original buildings are still standing which makes this charming spot a great place to have a wedding.
I performed the wedding ceremony in front of a roaring fireplace at an outside pavilion right beside a small pond. It was absolutely beautiful.
If you ever have the chance, I highly recommend you stop by Gold Hill and check out the small shops and history rich background the town has to offer.
Thanks to Thomas and Megan for including me in your ceremony.
